The cooking for christmas ™ has started.
A free range, no hormone raised, recently butchered chicken from Paidom is on the stove and working on becoming broth for my pot pie that I am making for new years even dinner.
I have recently falling in love with a new cookbook. It is called Compassionate Cook and it is a vegan cookbook. The recipes are wonderful and healthy. Using homemade ingredients and fresh ones. Of course it is also vegan, which makes it easier to find recipes that all of our family can eat.
How do you make your christmas cooking less painful?
I am starting the chopping for the pot pie tomorrow since it involved a hell of alot of mincing.
The baked mac and cheese doesnt need much so that isnt that big a deal. The stuffed zucchini also need some mincing so I will get that ready tomorrow too. I just cant wait… the christmas craze is afoot!!!
